DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last Updated: August 23, 2026

Piqav ("we," "our," or "us") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This page outlines our policy for responding to claims of copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable international copyright laws.

1. How Piqav Handles User Content

Piqav is a browser-based file processing platform. All document manipulation (merging, splitting, compressing, converting, editing, etc.) is performed entirely within your web browser using client-side technologies. We do not upload, store, host, or distribute any user-submitted files on our servers.

Because Piqav never receives or hosts user-uploaded documents, the typical DMCA takedown process for hosted content does not directly apply to user-processed files. However, we take all intellectual property concerns seriously and provide the following process for any claims related to content we do control (such as website text, graphics, blog posts, and other editorial content).

2. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content hosted on our website (excluding user-processed files, which never touch our servers) infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and where it is located on our website (please provide the specific URL).
  4. Your contact information, including your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

3. Where to Send DMCA Notices

Please send all DMCA takedown notices to our designated agent:

Piqav DMCA Agent

Email: piqav.tools@gmail.com

Subject Line: "DMCA Takedown Notice"

Website: https://piqav.com/contact

4. Our Response Process

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

  • Acknowledge receipt of your notice within 2 business days.
  • Review the claim to determine whether the identified material infringes upon the claimed copyright.
  • Remove or disable access to the infringing material promptly if the claim is found to be valid.
  • Notify the alleged infringer (if applicable) that the material has been removed.

5. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error or that you have the authorization to use the material, you may file a counter-notification with us. Your counter-notification must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your district.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed content within 10–14 business days, unless the original complainant initiates legal action.

6. Repeat Infringers

Piqav reserves the right to terminate access to our platform for users who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers, in accordance with the DMCA and our Terms of Service.

7. Disclaimer

This DMCA policy applies solely to content hosted and controlled by Piqav on our website. Since all user file processing occurs locally within the user's browser and files are never transmitted to or stored on our servers, we cannot monitor, control, or be held liable for the content of files that users choose to process using our client-side tools.
