Piqav("we," "our," or "us") is built so that your documents and images are processed on your own device. Their contents are never sent to us or to anyone else.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (and don't collect), how we handle advertising and analytics, your privacy rights under regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and how you can contact us.

1. Your Files

We never receive your files, so we cannot store, read or keep them. Every tool - merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, converting, editing and the rest - runs inside your web browser, on your device.

• Where your file is kept: only in the memory of the browser tab you are using. When you close or reload the tab, the browser releases that memory.
• What is sent over the network: requests for our pages and code, plus the analytics and advertising requests described below. None of them contains your file's contents or its metadata.
• Code Downloaded From a Public CDN: Features that recognise text in scans (OCR PDF, the OCR options in PDF to Word and PDF to Excel, and Compress PDF's readability check) and the image compressors download their processing code, and for text recognition the data for the language you choose, from cdn.jsdelivr.net the first time you use them. That service receives your IP address and the request for the code, as with any file downloaded from the web; it does not receive your files.

2. Information We Collect Automatically

While your files never leave your device, we collect limited, non-personally identifiable technical information to maintain website reliability, prevent abuse, and understand aggregated usage trends:

• Usage & Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics to record how the site is used: page visits, referring URLs, browser types, device operating systems, screen resolutions, and general geographic location (country/city level). We see this as aggregate reports; Google Analytics does not receive the files you process.
• Hosting Logs: The site's pages and code are served by Cloudflare, our host. Like any web host, Cloudflare records basic details of each request - such as your IP address, the time and the page asked for - to deliver the page and block attacks. These are requests for our pages, never for your files, which are not sent anywhere. How long Cloudflare keeps these records is set by Cloudflare's own privacy policy, not by us.

3. Cookies & Third-Party Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display third-party advertisements provided by Google AdSense and its certified partners to keep our tools free for everyone.

4. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - European Union / EEA / UK

If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you are entitled to specific rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK Data Protection Act:

Legal Basis for Processing:For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics runs in Google's consent mode with all storage denied by default, so it sets no cookies unless you agree to them. Advertising cookies in those regions depend on consent collected through Google's consent message. Minimal technical data, such as server request logs kept by our hosting provider, is processed under our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and working.

5. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA) Disclosures

• We Do Not Sell Personal Information: Piqav does not sell your personal information or document data to third parties for monetary or valuable consideration.
• Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising: We may share pseudonymous advertising identifier cookies with Google AdSense for interest-based advertising if you have not opted out.
• Your CCPA Rights: California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, request correction of inaccurate data, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising without facing discriminatory treatment.
• Exercising Your Rights: Visitors in US states with privacy laws, including California, are shown an opt-out choice for the sale or sharing of personal information through Google's privacy message. You can also turn off personalized advertising at any time in Google Ads Settings, or ask us to act on any of these rights through our Contact page.

6. Security & Data Protection

We enforce industry-standard security measures including strict Transport Layer Security (HTTPS/TLS encryption) across all web traffic. By architecting our service to perform all PDF and image transformations locally in the client browser memory, we eliminate the primary security risks associated with cloud storage breaches and server data leaks.

7. Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA)

Piqav is a general audience utility tool and does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can promptly delete it.
